Budget Committee

State law requires that the City have a balance of elected and appointed representatives to this committee.  The Budget Committee is an advisory group. The Committee’s work is done primarily in April and May each year. Talent’s fiscal year runs July 1 to June 30. Members serve a 3-year term.

CITY OF TALENT

NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETINGS

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Talent, Jackson County, State of Oregon, on the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, will be held both virtually via Zoom and in-person at the Talent Community Center, 104 East Main Street. The meeting will take place on the 1st day of May 2024 at 6:00 P.M.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive the proposed budget and to hear the budget message.

Additional separate meetings of the Budget Committee will be held to take public comment and for committee deliberation.  Any person may attend the meetings and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. The meeting(s) for public comment will be on:

A copy of the proposed budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 1st, 2024 at Talent City Hall, 110 East Main Street, on weekdays between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. The Budget Document will also be available for your review on the city website under City Commissions/Budget Committee.
