Citizen Alert - Stay Informed, Stay Safe!

Stay informed and prioritize your safety by signing up for the Citizen Alert system, a collaboration between the City of Talent and Jackson County. Receive vital notifications regarding emergencies in your area, including your home, workplace, and your children's school. Opting in online ensures alerts are delivered to your cell phone, work phone, email, or via text message.

Evacuation Map - Do you know the best route of your neighborhood? 

The City of Talent introduces an evacuation map for residents and businesses to prepare for emergencies. With nine zones and designated exit routes, residents will be informed by first responders on the most efficient evacuation route during an emergency. Familiarize yourself with the zones and evacuation process for enhanced preparedness.

Evacuation Levels - Ready? Set? Go! 

During emergencies, the Talent Police Department utilizes a color-coded alert system: Green for "get ready," yellow for "get set," and red for "go!" or evacuate. Residents are advised to refer to the Evacuation Levels document, encouraged to print and display it prominently for quick reference during emergencies.

Evacuation Checklist - Is your Go Bag packed and ready? 

• In case of an evacuation emergency, each household member should have a Go Bag ready. It should be a durable backpack or duffle bag with essentials for a quick departure and contain items you would want to have with you if you have to leave in a hurry.
