Urban Renewal Agency

About:

The Talent Urban Renewal Agency (TURA) was formed in 1991 as a long term investment strategy by the City to eliminate blight and deterioration and improve assessed values within a defined area in downtown Talent.

The Agency designs and builds streets, sidewalks and parks; replaces old water lines, puts some power lines underground, installs street lights and trees, builds parks and civic spaces, assists economic development, and provides facade improvement grants for commercial and historic structures.

Gateway:

The Agency is currently working to move forward the Gateway Project, a community-designed, mixed-used project located in downtown Talent. For more information on the Gateway Project, please click here.

Meetings: TURA meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, before city council meetings. For additional information regarding the Talent Urban Renewal Agency, visit www.talenurbanrenewal.com.
