Welcome Gary Milliman!

Gary Milliman, the current City Manager of Talent, emphasizes the importance of listening and understanding the community's needs as he begins his role. Committed to public service, Milliman seeks to engage with residents, collaborate with the City Council, and uphold ethical standards outlined by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). With extensive experience in local government, including roles as interim City Manager and Municipal Court Judge, Milliman aims to address challenges such as infrastructure, operational costs, and Talent's recovery from the 2020 fires. He encourages active community engagement and communication while striving to build a well-run organization that proactively plans for the future. Despite challenges, Talent boasts an active citizenry and dedicated City Council and staff. Milliman, a native of Los Angeles and Oregon resident, brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to serving the community.
