Historic Town Hall Roof

You may not see much activity right now, but important behind-the-scenes work is keeping the roof restoration moving forward.

  • WHAT WE FOUND During roof removal, crews discovered deteriorated fascia and crown molding, along with several different molding profiles on the historic 1899 section.
  • PRESERVING HISTORY To preserve the building’s character, the City is replacing the crown molding throughout that portion with custom-milled redwood to match the original profile.
  • WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW The new molding is on site, and City staff are working to secure a finish carpenter for installation.
  • WHAT’S NEXT Once installation is complete, JAM Roofing will resume roof installation in coordination with the finish work.

Thank you for your patience!

We're carefully preserving this important piece of Talent's history—today and for generations to come.
