This bulletin has been updated to reflect the term durations for council seats 2 and 3.
The Talent City Council officially appointed residents Haleigh Martin and Nicole Greider to fill its two vacant council seats on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Both councilors were sworn in that evening to immediately begin their service.
Martin will fill Seat 2 and Greider will fill Seat 3. Both appointed terms run through December 31, 2026. Because both seats are on the ballot for the November 3, 2026 General Election, both appointees are eligible to run. Seat two will serve a 2-year term ending in 2028 and seat 3 a 4-year term ending in 2030.
Haleigh Martin, Councilmember Seat 2
Haleigh Martin is the Communications Manager for the Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center (KS Wild) and has served on the Talent Urban Forestry Committee since January 2025. Her professional background highlights stakeholder collaboration, public outreach, and budget management. On Council, Martin aims to focus on post-Almeda Fire recovery, including restoring the urban tree canopy, supporting local businesses, expanding affordable housing, and maintaining a balanced city budget.
About Nicole Greider, Councilmember Seat 3
Nicole Greider returns to the City Council after previously serving from November 2021 to January 2025. She is the current Chair of the Together for Talent committee and works as a nonprofit community engagement coordinator. As a renter and a mother, Greider brings vital perspectives on housing instability and family advocacy. Certified as an Oregon Community Health Worker and in psychological first aid, she remains deeply dedicated to long-term wildfire recovery and community resilience.
The City of Talent warmly welcomes Councilors Martin and Greider and invites the community to attend upcoming council sessions to support them in their new roles. The next Talent City Council meeting is July 1, 2026.
