Staff will propose several possible fee increases or new fees to City Council in April, including:
1) A significant increase to the public safety surcharge (potentially doubling that fee from $5.66 to $12/household/month).
2) Adjusting other fees for inflation.
3) Creating a new fee for park reservations (e.g., to reserve a park pavilion for a party or other event).
Staff invite Talent residents to learn more about these proposals – and discuss other longer-term strategies to improve City finances at two “Open Houses”:
Saturday, April 11, 9 AM – Noon, Talent Community Center
Wednesday, April 15, 4-6 PM, Talent Community Center
The April 15 Open House will be immediately followed by a City Council meeting to receive public testimony on these proposals.
