The City of Talent is committed to keeping you informed about developments regarding our water service. Recently, we included a notice in the December water bills with mandated language from the Oregon Health Authority. We understand that the information may have seemed overwhelming and may have raised concerns about the quality of our water service.

We want to assure you that our water supply remains safe to drink, and the City is taking all necessary actions to remain compliant with state requirements.

Like many cities across Oregon, the City of Talent was unable to complete the inventory of lead and copper service lines by the initial deadline of October 16, 2024. We are actively working to address this issue and are committed to maintaining transparency and compliance throughout the process.

For more information, we encourage you to stay informed by visiting the following resources:

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to meet these requirements. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Public Works Department at publicworks [at] cityoftalent.org (publicworks[at]cityoftalent[dot]org) or call us at (541) 535-3828.

We appreciate your support as we continue to provide safe and reliable water to our community.
